Punctuality Pays Off

Tonight, one time only, Matchbox 20 in concert at the E Center in Salt Lake City.

With excitement rising Brittany and I started up the car and headed for the interstate. Because I am completely impatient and extremely punctual we decided to leave for the one hour commute five hours early. (This would prove to be a genius decision on my part).

Just to give everyone a historical background, this will be the second concert that Brittany and I will be attending.(The first being a two day, 1,000 mile trip to Lincoln Nebraska to see Jason Mraz) So, it's safe to say that this is not our first "rodeo" so to speak.

Anyway, we arrived in West Valley with a mere four hours to kill, and low and behold we can't seem to find the E Center. On top of being lost, we just happen to be lost in a huge construction project that decided they needed to block off every possible street in the city at that particular time. Needless to say we eeked along for a good hour before deciding to ask directions. After finding out that we had been driving in the wrong direction and through a construction zone that could have been easily avoided we arrived at the E Center with two hours to spare. By the time we were able to get our tickets and get in line it was fifteen minutes until the concert began.

Eight rows from the stage it would come as no surprise that we had a fabulous time. The opening band Mutemath was extremely entertaining and Alanis Morissette, although a little scary, was great as well. The highlight was Matchbox 20 of course and by the end of the night Brittany and I had another wonderful memory to add to our growing list. Talk about an awesome Date Night!
