Relay for Life

This Saturday we went up to Texas Tech with Lara and Travis for Relay for Life. Colby and I would like to make it a tradition to go every year in honor of Chad. Lara helped me make bags(luminarias) for Chad and for Colby's great Uncle Ray.

It was pretty chilly so we bundled up and started walking around the track. Colby was not feeling well, but he kept walking until the Luminaria Ceremony. It was a little different than the one in Utah, but we still enjoyed it. It is great to remember and honor those who have and have had cancer. It seems that they all show so much strength and courage. Relay is a good reminder to have hope and to remember all those who battle with cancer. This year Relay was only 3 days after the two year anniversary of Chad's passing. It was a great way for Colby and I to remember and celebrate him.

Wish I could have come to that! And your spring break vacation sounded like a blast. Our spring break was cold so we didn't get out much.

You're awesome! My husband has been in remission for 5 years and we are so grateful! Chad was an amazing person, he was so positive and incredibly funny!
